i've been riding my Ripstik casterboard for about a month, am getting good and love the hell out of it! y'all may not consider me a true skater, but i'm looking for other Houston-area cats to rip it up with and share skills!

Hillyard Skatepark Spokane

Had to go down to Spokane today and stopped by and rode very early morning with only a couple of kids riding. By mid-afternoon when I came back the place had bikes & skaters all over it. Helmet required but as you can see maybe 1 out of 4 had one, and nobody but me had knee & elbow pads with wrist braces on.

In my old Rector gear with a Jay Adam's Flyaway on my head riding a Hobie Skatepark Rider with Lazer mids & Sims Pure Juice wheels with my gray ponytail flapping...and at least 30 years older than anyone there. I did get some funny looks but after an hour (all I can handle on concrete) a few of the skater rats came over to talk and look at the board I was riding. One young kid (10 or so) rode my board and told his dad he wanted one. It was the first time he dropped into the bowl and he made it! Something to say about old sticks and good wheels, eh?

No, I didn't leave the coping! Kept my wheels on the concrete no doubt. Just an old guy rolling walls and having fun who can't take those kind of falls anymore.

ISO Female Skaters in Venice (for my GF to skate with)

Hi, my girlfriend is sick of making friends with guys to skate with that are really just trying to get laid.

She really needs a skate buddy, she can drop in and turn but would like to skate with some girls that can challenge her and maybe teach her a little. I skate with her, but since we are still new to the area, we end up spending all of our time together and it is time for us to meet new peeps.

the black pearl skatepark in the cayman islands, thats right the cayman islands, just opened up and there's an article about it in the skateboard mag. check this shit out! you can image search google to see it. it it seriously 65000 square feet. at least look at and appreciate this park if you don't actually go.

any advice?

What I'm told to do is the palm sand the deck, then at two caots of gesso with a really good brush so that there's no bristle marks. Then paint on it, and put varnish on it.

I'm painting a girl holding a puppy with wheels for paws.
